The Eagle Mine.
For over a decade, Witness Tree Media has told visual stories for the Eagle River Watershed Council in their effort to protect and restore Colorado’s Eagle River Watershed Basin. The organization was formed in response to an environmental disaster that started in the Eagle Mine Superfund site and released toxic heavy metals and other pollutants into the Eagle River, turning the river orange and devastating the fragile aquatic ecosystem. Since its formation, the Eagle River Watershed Council has implemented many restoration and conservation projects along the Eagle River from its source on the Continental Divide to its confluence with the Colorado River.
